New Year greetings.

J. C. Jacobsen writes to Carl Ploug that he will pay the extra expences for the bronze tables on the base of the statue of Frederik VII that H. V. Bissen is working on.

J. C. Jacobsen sends some notes from Rothe til J. Steenstrup and says that he wants to discuss the salaries of two gardeners in the Botanical Garden later. 

J. C. Jacobsen has a meeting with the minister about budget matters and will postpone the discussion of the gardeners salary.

Johanne Luise Heiberg thanks J. C. Jacobsen that he has made it possible for her to go on a trip abroad with her 3 children.

Concerning agenda for the 'Committee of the Botanical Garden'

Johanne Luise Heiberg is complaining about how the gift she had sent to Mrs. Hansen on behalf of J. C. Jacobsen was received.

J. C. Jacobsen is not satisfied with the placement of the Ørsted Monument as suggested by the University. Concerning the gardeners salaries J. C. jacobsens suggests that they should be paid 1000 Rdlr each.
